Quality Care

New Beginnings provides a high quality early childhood program providing a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children.

Families are the first most important person in your child's life—and their first teacher. New Beginnings wants to partner with you to build a trusting relationship so that together, we can support your child's growth and development. We respect each families differences, cultures, and backgrounds to help understand your goals and concerns for your child.

New Beginnings will communicate your child's day and routines. Along with your child's accomplishments and progress. We will find ways to communicate and pass on information to families who speak different languages.

Families are welcome into our program at all times. You take part in decisions about your child's care and have opportunities to get involved with us. We look forward to caring for your little one!

Why Home Daycare?

A home daycare program is an in-home childcare program that is operated out of the childcare owner's home. The home daycare must be licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Human Services. DHS provides in- home inspections on a yearly basis. All caregivers must participate in professional development training's to have the most current knowledge along with meet licencing regulations.    In-home daycare's may have employees in addition to the owner/director, and all employees must participate in a comprehensive background check and CANTS clearance to be eligible for employment.

There are many benefits to attending a home daycare; however, it is important to understand the specific needs of your child. Parents should also assess their expectations for their child’s early educational experience. If your primary goal is for your child to learn social-emotional skills in a small classroom environment while interacting with children of different ages, a family child care home may be the right choice for your family.

The following are some advantages of attending an in-home daycare

  • a home-like environment that is comfortable and familiar to the child
  • a close child-teacher bond as the teacher works very closely with the child
  • fewer cases of illnesses due to exposure to less children
  • a highly educated caregiver with many years experience working with children
  • more opportunities for learning experiences
  • a more individualized approach to education
  • more time spent observing and assessing student needs, implementing educational plans, and evaluating teaching methods
  • opportunities for enrichment activities
  • a detailed evaluation of your child’s specific learning needs and progress at school
